Executive OrdersThis lesson plan is for a unit on the Executive Branch, and is for a lesson on the Executive Orders. The students for this lesson will be reading four different Executive Orders, Executive Order 9066, 9981, 10730, and 11246. Through these primary documents the students will be able to understand the structure of the Executive Order, the way they are worded, and the historical context of why they were written. The students will then have the opportunity to write their own Executive Orders based on current events.

Growth of Presidential Power
This lesson plan is for a unit on the Executive Branch, and is for a lesson on the Growth of Presidential Power. The students will be reading through Case Studies on different Presidents who expanded their power. By beginning with President Jefferson the students will weave through time and examining how expansion of Presidential Power has changed throughout history.
